URETEK is a technology for strengthening, lifting and levelling soil that makes it possible to stop movement and subsidence of wooden, brick, stone and concrete structures and increase load-bearing capacity of soil and foundation. This technology is suitable for solving problems related to subsidence and levelling of both private houses and residential buildings and warehouse complexes, railway tracks and aerodromes. It is also suitable for preventing landslides and subsidence of pipeline and waterproofing in complex sites.
Unlike pile foundation, URETEK has instant effect on soil layer and prevents occurrence of new cracks and damage to the structure. Part of the load-bearing structure above the foundation supported with piles gets extra weight and becomes rigid, while other parts continue moving/subsidence. This causes development of new cracks and breakages. URETEK materials affect soil layer, making its compactness and load-bearing properties.
Pile technology does not help solving primary tasks – compacting soil layer and increasing lateral friction coefficient. Using URETEK technology for increasing the efficiency of pile structures results in increased compaction and friction coefficient of soil. In some case, that means there will be no need to erect piles, because soil layers obtain the condition of “conditional monolith” and form a solid base of the structure. By reaching even the smallest cavities and binding soil (due to high adherence of the material), geopolymer resins conditionally reinforce the soil. Pile technology is labour-intensive and does not ensure 100% solution to the problem, because there is no way to influence load-bearing capacity of soil layers and moisture content beneath substrate. Installing tilted piles under the foundation involves high risk of breaking.
URETEK technology makes it possible to leave aside all traditional methods and do everything that the above methods cannot do. In this case, soil is compacted until it reaches the condition of “conditional monolith”. Unlike traditional methods, URETEK technology can be used for increasing load-bearing capacity of even porous substrate. Due to high adhesive properties of URETEK materials (adherence to various surfaces) and high compaction level while reinforcing soil, it allows solving the problems related to load-bearing capacity of structures and soils.
Reintroduce a facility, increase the value of land under a structure, stop building subsidence and vertical shifting, prevent landslides, perform foundation waterproofing – all that can be achieved by using URETEK geopolymer resins.
